Disappointing. We came for the riding which apart from kids pony rides finished at the end of August, not publicised online. So no riding. The rubber ring ride was incompetent and dangerous. No lifeguards at the pool meant no relaxation for parents. The high ropes required 130cm height so 8 year old couldn’t do that either. The bike routes were good, and the accommodation ok. But won’t return.

We had a lovely time at Des Ormes. I have been visiting for about 25 years and love seeing how the site is growing and improving each time we visit. We have shared our experiences on Youtube with our subscribers.

We recently returned from another enjoyable stay, this time opting for the Eurocamp Ultimate Plus accommodation for the first time, having previously stayed in the standard Ultimate with Eurocamp. While the Plus upgrade offered some welcome outdoor enhancements, there were a few compromises that are worth noting.

The main benefit of the Ultimate Plus was the superior outdoor space. The extended covered decking was excellent, especially given the wet weather during our stay – the inner decking area remained dry throughout. The addition of an egg chair and cushioned sun loungers was a nice touch, though we didn’t end up using them.

However, the upgrade came at the cost of indoor space, primarily due to the inclusion of a second bathroom. We were particularly surprised by the lack of hanging storage – while there were plenty of shelves, there was no full wardrobe in the living area for coats or space for shoes and other extras. We definitely missed the more generous storage options provided in the standard Ultimate.

The en-suite shower was a highlight, featuring both an overhead rainfall head and a detachable handheld option, which was especially useful for the kids.

Wi-Fi was another downside – although the Ultimate Plus is advertised as having Wi-Fi, we found the connection to be very weak inside the accommodation. The TV wasn’t able to connect at all, which rendered our streaming stick unusable. Strangely, the best signal was actually out on the decking.

On a more positive note, the caravan was clean and in good overall condition. There were a couple of minor issues such as a few stains on the lounge sofa and some broken window blinds, but nothing that affected our stay significantly.

As always, we return year after year for the fantastic pool complex. This time, the children especially enjoyed the outdoor pools and slides. That said, we were disappointed to find the outdoor area only open from 2–6pm, Thursday to Sunday, as we were visiting out of peak season.

Pony trekking was another highlight – we went every day it was available. The staff running the sessions were brilliant with the children, who loved getting to ride different ponies each time.

The on-site carousel still being on site was a brilliant surprise – a very welcome addition that added to the magic for the kids. We really hope it comes back again next year!

The location of the site remains one of its biggest advantages – close to beautiful beaches and charming towns, with Dol-de-Bretagne just around the corner. The local Super U and excellent bakeries are convenient, and the new on-site supermarket is a big improvement – we visited daily for fresh bread and pastries.

The children also made good use of the play park. One small suggestion would be to swap two of the four standard swings for a toddler swing and a basket swing, to better cater for younger children, as the current setup is more suited to older kids.

Overall, we had a fabulous holiday, and in fact, we had already booked our next visit before we even arrived this year – which speaks volumes.

Our third time back!! (2022, 2024 and now 2025) all with eurocamp but we will book directly with Les Ormes next time.
First time doing the high rope adventure course (with 4 yo and then later adult only ticket). Instructor Antoine was fantastic and my child loved him. Thank you for fun clear instructions.
Love the new restaurant and the rest of the upgrade buildings look great.
Hopefully next time we visit our second child can do horse riding.
Love the indoor Dome pool, always the highlight. Overall really happy. Enjoyed the pedalo on the lake (good value at 2 euro). The bikes are expensive but we always do a day of hiring bikes as it’s good family fun.
Overall recommend, eurocamp did let us down a bit with a very shabby cabin (one temperature shower stuck at boiling, cabin fixed with duct tape, huge dips in the floor, curtains falling down) but after kicking up a big fuss we got the normal standard of cabin that everyone else seemed to have.

We visited the resorts for the first time this year and I must say it was amazing. We stayed in the Taos home, and the place was spotless, clean, welcoming and spacious . The home was equipped with everything you need from a cooker, coffee maker, fridge/ freezer, plates, pans, towels etc. Anything you need for your stay it was there. Clean bedsheets upon our arrival were waiting for us and due to our longer stay we were given fresh ones on day 5. We fell in love with the place and going back next year too!
