Cliffs of the Black Cows
Situated on the Côte Fleurie, these spectacular cliffs stretch for 4 km between Houlgate and Villers-sur-Mer. The name "Vaches Noires" (Black Cows) comes from an image used by sailors. When they were at sea and looking towards the coast, the shapes of the cliffs covered in seaweed reminded them of the silhouette of a herd of cows.

Le Brévedent campsite delights with its variety of pitches located by the pond, beneath the apple trees in the orchard, next to the manor house or in the lower part of the orange grove. Accommodating all holidaymakers (whether in tents, caravans, camper vans or glamping units), the pitches offer plenty of space and are perfectly equipped (electricity supply, levelled ground, patio furniture in some cases). The heated infinity pool is the perfect place for families to get together. The restaurant and bar serve dishes made with local, organic products, in keeping with the ecological values embraced by the campsite. La Brév’maculture, a true philosophy of life, invites every guest to take part in the harvest from the permaculture gardens. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the Castel campsite Le Brévedent, in order to preserve the comfort and tranquillity of all our guests. However, you can enjoy our on-site mini farm, home to chickens, rabbits, goats and even an alpaca!
